What happens when you start an airsoft Team Death Match with absolutely nothing?

At our next game day at Zone 67, I'm taking on what could be my toughest airsoft challenge yet. The goal sounds simple on paper, but pulling it off in the middle of a fast-paced firefight will be anything but easy.

The Challenge

I will begin the game completely unarmed. No pistol. No rifle. No grenades. Just me, my gear, and a challenge that requires earning every weapon through eliminations.

The progression works like this:

Step 1: Get a melee kill to unlock my Glock.

Step 2: Get a Glock kill to unlock my MP5.

Step 3: Get an MP5 kill to unlock my M4.

Step 4: Get an M4 kill to unlock my grenades.

Step 5: Get a grenade kill to complete the challenge.

Only after successfully achieving each elimination can I move on to the next weapon in the sequence. If I can't get the kill, I can't advance.

Why This Will Be Difficult

Starting a Team Death Match without a weapon puts me at an immediate disadvantage. Getting close enough to secure a melee elimination requires stealth, patience, and a bit of luck. From there, every kill becomes a gateway to the next stage of the challenge.

The pressure only increases as the game progresses. One mistake could leave me stuck on a stage while the rest of the players continue fighting around me.

Can It Be Done?

That's the big question.

Will I manage to work my way from an unarmed player all the way to a successful grenade elimination? Or will the challenge end before I can complete the full progression?

There's only one way to find out.

Join us at Zone 67 and watch the challenge unfold as I attempt to fight my way through every stage, one elimination at a time.

Well, we ended up playing this challenge on Sunday 5 July 2026, and to my surprise, I actually managed to get them all done in one game. Although, getting the melee kill was definitely the hardest! Normally we just get them by being in the right place at the right time and taking the opportunity when its there, but intentionally going out hunting for that melee kill definitely made it a lot harder! But somehow we managed to do it!

I definitely think that I'll look at coming up with more challenges to complete during TDM games as it did make it a lot of fun.
