Game: Airsoft Online (Alpha Test)

Platform: PC

Publisher: Pixomnia Studio

Release Date: Q4 2026

I wouldn't normally make posts or videos about videogames, partly because I'm not a huge gamer and then well, it's an airsoft channel not a videogame channel. However, for this one I will make the exception since the game is airsoft!

May I present Airsoft Online, the video game.

Published by just a couple of guys, who clearly have been working hard in order to get this game playable and ready for everyone to enjoy. Although it's not officially released yet and is still being tested and built by the community, there have been a bunch of people from all over the world doing testing runs on it. I was able to get my name in the bag to give it ago by signing up on Steam to be given access. This was freely available to anyone that wanted to give it a go, I did not have any exclusive access to the game.

Bear in mind, I don't have a top end gaming PC, mine is a pretty basic one but can handle some games pretty well.

I had found this game from another YouTuber uploading a video about it, and I'll be honest, I thought it was a joke video and that there wasn't really an airsoft video game being released! But would you look at that I was completely wrong, there is a game and it's gonna be released!

So here's a bit of a review for the game, I have played it for about 20 or so minutes (for the video and a little afterwards).

Ease of Use

The main menu was easy to use, which is good. No one likes a menu that is just full of junk that isn't really needed. It is a seamless menu that is easy to navigate. While all the features weren't available when I played there is still a lot of potential when you get to customize your own weapons and such. This will go down very well with players when the game is released. Airsofters love to customize their gear. Hopefully this will be full loadouts that can be customized, from the actual weapons and gadgets on them, to the clothing and plate carries and duty belts. That is my one wish!

Modes

There were only a few modes available when I played, although I did see on the Discord server for the game that some of the servers can sometimes be missing when you jump online to play. That'll be something that they work on in the future to make it more stable.

I'm hoping they'll have a lot of different game modes to choose from, like games that we play here in New Zealand and then be able to try out some alternatives that people play at clubs overseas. Maybe even with the option of creating your own games, creating maps might be pushing it a bit but I'm sure there's people out there that wouldn't find it too hard to create maps, I'd love to see some New Zealand fields in the game!

Playability

Aside from my PC, the game goes smoothly. For some reason, and I don't know if it was my mouse or the game, it was a little hard to get the player to move around with the mouse, I'd move right while it'd twitch left or something. It was a little annoying, but I can't fault the game for that because I'm not too sure on what the actual cause of it was.

The game played really well overall though, my only complaint would be that it didn't have controller support which was a shame, but I'm sure that the final release will have that, it would make sense to have controller support for a first person shooter game.

One thing I complained about in the video that I didn't actually realize, was when the player got hit in my video it took more than one shot to “kill” them, but this was clarified on Discord that you need to be in the “Authentic” game modes for this to be a thing. However, personally I think that all games should be one shot since all airsoft matches are like that.

I found that on the mouse, the right click was for a melee kill whereas grenade was with the G keyboard button, I think the right button should be the grenade as that is what you'd be more likely to use – meaning more likely to use a grenade over a melee kill.

The firing and general use of guns was fine, I do think there'd need to be the option for semi auto or full auto (there may have been), the gun I used only had full auto and I didn't think too much of it, but that was fine.

Overall Thoughts

The game is really good and has a lot of potential to be a really good game. I know the developers are actively listening to the community to make improvements and adjustments to the game which is really good. Based on what I did play I would highly recommend people to give this game a go!
