Why Do I Make Videos

The idea of making videos was really not originally the intent of making more than one video, the
very first video (never released) was made after being asked “what is airsoft?”, and then after trying
to explain to the person what it is and why so many people get into it, I thought, wouldn’t it be
easier to just show them a video?
After then showing the a video from I believe it was Dutch the Hooligan, I found myself thinking
about why it wasn’t a more local video, like one from my own club or something. And then, the
bright idea came into just make the video myself, a video of me playing doing what I do while also
capturing what airsoft is.
I had a couple of GoPro’s handy to get videos recorded, had the video editing software already, so I
just needed to go out and record and then edit it all together – this is while not ignoring the random
forage I had got quite a few years ago on my phone (the 8 Years of Random video).
What I did end up finding was that more and more games I’d just take the camera with me and then
record, I ended up with a bunch of footage and decided to make a YouTube channel and start
uploading those videos.
After making a bunch of videos and really enjoying doing it, and having the Queen’s Birthday
Interclub coming up back in 2003, I decided to do a full blown video of it. So then came the plan of
how to do a vlog style video, I ended up with a heap of footage for both gaming and just the vlog
stuff too. Turns out I really enjoyed doing that video too.
While my editing may not be great, and may not be as cool as other YouTubers, its mine and they’re
my videos. I am slowly getting better at the editing and making it a little bit better.
My videos you’ll always see more of the whole gaming experience and not just me running around
shooting people and getting shot myself, you’ll get the whole experience, its just how I like to do it.
