Ciras Heavy Duty Tactical Combat Vest
Ciras Heavy Duty Tactical Combat Vest

The Vest/Plate Carrier + Attachments

This vest is a circas heavy duty combat vest, it’s only a couple of years old but has seen its fair share of warfare already. Its easily adjustable, it did come with the quick release chords in it but I took them out because they were in the way of me doing the set up I have.

It came with pouches and such attached but I removed the main ones and replaced them with FMA M4 mag pouches, the magazines just slip right in and are held in by rubber band tension, these work really well I’m yet to lose a mag out of them.

There’s an admin pouch at the top of my chest on it which really just serves as a place to put dead GoPro batteries and keep the business cards for my airsoft channel, and a couple of patches attached to that.

Two small pouches where I keep 2 speed loaders for out on the field, even though I rarely actually need to reload mags in the field, I normally just do it when I’m dead because I have nothing else to do while I’m dead.

My radio mic and earpiece is all looped into the vest shoulder strap, this means I don’t need to take it off to put it back on or be mucking around with its setup all the time, I found a good spot for it, fitted it in and just leave it there.

Heavy Duty Duty Belt + Attachments

This belt has been with me since almost the beginning of my airsofting life, I bought it from The Arena many years ago and it has been my main belt since. It fits great and it helps that it’s easily adjustable, and is quite comfortable.

On my right hip I have a FMA Glock 17 holster, with a two mag FMA pouch clip in front of that. The holster is a button push release and easily locks the Glock back in, I’ve never experienced any issues at all with it. And the two mag clip is just holding them in with pressure, thankfully I’ve never had a mag pop out, the pressure on them is really good and holds them in there firmly and secure.

I also have a torch clip on the front, so the torch and its main clip can come out and then just clicks back into place, I always have an added attachment to attach the torch to my vest so that I don’t drop it while running – yeah it’s happened before and I’ve lost a torch!

I have an extra FMA M4 clip for the rifle because I like to carry plenty on me.

A radio pouch which is a must have for radios, keeping it securely attached so that it doesn’t wiggle free and fall out and is easy enough to access if I need to change channel or adjust the volume.

Drink bottle pouch because well, in the hot weather you always need to keep hydrated. It keeps the water relatively chilled for a decent amount of time.

A little gimmick of my load out is that I have handcuffs on me too, I’ve never used them though, it’s just fun to have them on me seeing as I go with the whole police look.

G&G CM16 Rifle + Attachments

G&G CM16 Carbine AEG
G&G CM16 Carbine AEG

The CM16 is only a couple of years old for me, it replaced a VFC M16A3. I had got this when the M16 was starting to be a bit sluggish, and rather than spending money on getting it running I went and got this instead.

this platform of gun is one that i have always been looking at getting due to it being the most like the police M4, and was going to be the easiest to replicate what they have.

On the front is torch (although the pictured on is not what's on it now) with a pressure pad (I think they're called that) which to be fair, doesn't get used as often as it probably should. But that is mostly down to not playing many games at night, but hopefully all plans going well that will change with my home club wanting to host more night games.

On the top we have a red dot sight with the usual protection screen in front of it (these are vital!). Although it can be difficult to really zone in the red dot to where you want it, it does the trick 99% of the time, bb's do generally tend to fly off of the red dot but you just adjust accordingly with the dot and shoot left or right or whatever from that.

In my opinion the gun is really good, its nice and accurate, although I wouldn't mind it being a little more ballsy (i keep it to 1.13j or below so I can use it anywhere), I do find it still packs enough punch as it is.

For anyone wanting to start out in airsoft, or even just have an M4 platform, this is a great option to look into.

Tokyo Mauri Glock 17 Pistol

I’ve had this pistol now for about 7 or so years, I used to have a really cheap one that got broken during a game and the Glock was its replacement, and I must say I would never lock back on getting a Glock. Although I do want to update it to the EAP Glock 18 at some point (when someone in New Zealand stocks it!).

This is never intended as being my primary weapon, it is mainly used when I’m in a tight spot and don't have time to reload the M4, or I’m in such a spot where I’m not too willing on letting the M4 go in someone's face or at close range

Even though it is spring powered it still has decent range on it, and it's accurate too. It has certainly got me out of a few tight spots before! If you're someone looking for a cheap option but a good option for a pistol, this would be one big recommendation from me.
